Evaheart Study Coordinator Conference - Gainesville, FL (Nov. 7th-8th, 2022)

The Evaheart Team was excited to announce its first Study & VAD Coordinator Conference in Gainesville, FL!

The Evaheart Team in attendance consisted of Dr. Tadashi Motomura, MD, PhD (Surgical Proctor), Lizatte Martinez, CRCC (Clinical Trial Lead), and Kelsey Smegner, MS (Team Lead Clinical Support Specialist).

Dr. Mustafa “Moose” Ahmed and his Research Team successfully hosted the conference at their site, University of Florida (UF) Health-Shands Hospital. The conference was a huge success with personnel from multiple sites able to gather collectively to share their personal experiences, thoughts, and perspectives in regard to the COMPETENCE Trial. The conference itself had multiple sessions that covered protocol overview, device overview, acute and chronic patient management, an open forum (i.e. screening and enrollment), and even meeting with one our EVA2 patients and caregiver.

The Evaheart Team plans on putting together another Study & VAD Coordinator Conference in Spring 2023 (Host Site/Location: To Be Determined). We look forward to seeing you there!
